Environmental Quality Distinction Mexico (DCAM)
The Environmental Quality Mexico Distinction (DCAM) is an award granted by PROFEPA to organizations that, without being legally obligated, implement sustainable practices, comply with current environmental regulations, and improve their environmental performance. It is specifically designed to support self-regulation in entities with fewer resources.
Who is it for?
- Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MiSMEs) in the commercial, industrial, or service sectors.
- Rural communities such as ejidos, communal landholders, or small producers.
- Educational institutions and civil associations engaged in environmental actions.
It is an accessible alternative to the National Environmental Audit Program, allowing small organizations to demonstrate environmental commitment without complex external audits.
