ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)

ESG criteria (Environmental, Social, and Governance) are a set of standards used to assess how a company manages its responsibilities in three key areas:

  • Environmental: Considers the company’s impact on the environment, including carbon emission reductions, efficient use of natural resources, and the adoption of sustainable practices.
  • Social: Evaluates how the company manages relationships with employees, suppliers, customers, and communities. This includes labor conditions, diversity and inclusion, human rights, and contributions to social well-being.
  • Governance: Refers to corporate leadership practices, board structure, business ethics, communication transparency, and regulatory compliance.

Integrating ESG criteria into business strategies is key to promoting sustainability and corporate social responsibility. These criteria are also increasingly considered by investors seeking to align their investments with ethical and sustainable values, evaluating not only financial returns but also the social and environmental impact of the companies they invest in.
