Initial problem:

Jumbo needed to calculate its entire group-wide footprint for the first time, with a strong focus on Scope 3 and thousands of transport operations — a challenge of scale and international coordination.

Solution implemented and time:

In less than one month, transport-related emissions were calculated, and within six weeks, the full Scopes 1, 2 and 3 inventory was completed across all global divisions. The entire process was externally verified under the GHG Protocol.

Results and benefits obtained:

Jumbo Group now has a centralized and certified view of its global footprint, with comparable data across countries and divisions. The company is planning its decarbonization strategy with the support of the airCO2 platform, enabling it to benchmark scenarios and reduce its environmental impact.
